Perspectives of reliability technology of robotic equipment

Abstract

    In the initial stage of use of robots and other related equipment, its various motion precision indicators are comparable to those of similar overseas products. However, after using for a period of time, the stability and reliability of domestically-related equipment movements are far less than those of similar products and equipments in developed countries, which directly affects the market competitiveness of related products in China. The report discusses the reliability of robot equipment. The main contents of the report include: background, reliability of robot equipment, inspiration from typical product reliability analysis experiments, existing problems and countermeasures.

Biography

    Zhang Xianmin, male, graduated from the Robotics Research Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1993 with a doctorate in engineering. He is currently the dean of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology (2013-), professor (1998-), doctoral tutor, national outstanding youth. The recipient of the Science Fund (2008), the National Talents of the New Century Talent Project (2006), the State Council Government Grant (2007), the Ding Ying Technology Award (2007), and the National Model Teacher (2001). He is also the Chairman of the China Committee of the International Federation of Institutions and Machine Science (IFToMM) (2016-), the Vice Chairman of the Robotics Branch of the Mechanical Engineering Society (2017-), the Vice Chairman of the Intelligent Manufacturing Professional Committee of the China Intelligent Society (2011-), Guangdong Machinery Vice President of the Engineering Society (2010-), etc.; is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Mechanism and Robotics of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME); Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Vibration Engineering, China Mechanical Engineering, etc. Publications editorial board. His research interests include robotics, mechanical kinematics and dynamics, machine vision, control technology, and precision manufacturing equipment. He has published more than 350 SCI and EI index papers, including more than 150 SCI index papers in internationally important journals; one monograph, the second edition of the International Conference Proceedings, the editor of "Introduction to Mechanical Engineering", "Robot Technology and Its application and other textbooks 4; authorized more than 100 patents at home and abroad. He won 3 first prizes and 6 second prizes for various achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels. The patent achievements won 1 Guangdong Patent Gold Award and 2 China Excellent Patent Awards.
