Chinese Conference on Robotic Welding(CCRW'2012)

On Oct. 8th to 10th, in support of the China Welding Society(CWS) of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society(CMES), China Welding Association(CWA),2012 Chinese Conference on Robotic Welding (CCRW'2012） was held on Oct. 8th, 2012, in the principal building of National Academy of Education Administration.. CCRW 2012 was co-hosted by Welding Robot & Automation Committee of CWS, Welding Technology Committee Of CWA, Welding Production And Application Committee Of CWS, Automobile Committee Of CWA and Pressure Welding Committee Of CWS. CCRW'2012 was undertook by Beijing Institute of Petro-chemical Technology and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and got the support of Shanghai Fanuc, KUKA Robot GmbH(Shanghai), Yaskawa Shougang Robot Company Limited, OTC Industrial(Shanghai) Co.,Ltd., Tangshan Kaiyuan Robot System Co.,Ltd. Fronius Welding Technology (Juhai)Co., Ltd.and Guang Zhou Binzel-Abicor. There were more than 100 representatives attended the meeting, and about 20 persons were officials of foreign well-known enterprises and technical experts.
Prof. Shanben Chen of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, head of Welding Robot & Automation Committee Of CWS, hosted the opening ceremony of CCRW. Prof. Lin Wu, the chairman of the conference, made an opening speech. Prof. Wenli Guo,the president of Beijing Institute of Petro-chemical Technology, gave the welcome speech. The famous scientists and experts, Prof. Zhang Bo, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences from Qinghua University, and Prof. Pan Jiluan, the cademician of Chinese Academy of Sciences from Qinghua University, Song Tianhu,the president of CMES, and Wang Linshu, vice-president of CWS gaved speeches respectively. The Prof. Wang Tianmiao, the Cheung Kong Scholar of Ministry of Education of China and a famous robot expert in China, and Xue Zhenkui, vice-president of CWS all attended the meeting.
The Keynote Speakings in CCRW’2012 included：Opportunities and challenges of robot in the Internet age , Automatic welding technology situation of petroleum & gas, Survey on chinese robot technology and industrialization development, Situation and development of marine engineering welding automation technology, Development and application of XinSong robot industry, Development status of each committee of CWS in CCRW’2012. The technical reports on welding robot and welding automation were presented by Shanghai FANUC, KUKA Roboter GmbH, Yaskawa Shougang Robot Company Limited, OTC Industrial Co.,Ltd., Tangshan Kaiyuan Robot System Co.,Ltd. Fronius Welding Technology Co., Ltd. and Binzel-Abicor Co.,Ltd..
During the conference, Welding Robot & Automation Committee of CWS had regular meetings and discussed about on the organization of the next CCRW and RWIA’2014.
