Reinforcement of manufacturing by utilizing robotics, IOT and AI

Abstract

In recent years, there seems several ambitious efforts or programs to reinforce the competitiveness of manufacturing industry worldwide by utilizing robot technology, IoT(Internet of Things) and AI(Artificial Intelligence). As an example of such efforts, the latest results of R&D at Fanuc will be introduced such as collaborative robot that allows the collaborative work of human and robot, preventive maintenance of robot by using IoT and machine learning etc.
