Biography

    Liming Liu- Changjiang Distinguished Scholars, Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Professor in Materials Science and Engineering - has been with the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China since 2000 becoming a Professor in 2006. He received his PhD degree in welding major from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China.
    Liming Liu is mainly committed to the physical mechanism of hybrid welding sources, control technology of hybrid sources welding process and low power green welding technology. He developed the lower power laser induce arc hybrid welding technology and equipment, which was cyclopedic used in industrial manufacturing signory. His research has brought him over 150 Referred Reviewed Journal Papers and 23 China Patents. With over 1100 times of SCI Citation, he is among the most frequently cited authors in his area.
    Liming Liu presided over a number of research projects including National Science and Technology Major Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National 863 of China, National Programs for Science and Technology Development of China and some international cooperation projects. He is the director of Key laboratory of Liaoning Advanced Welding and Joining Technology in China, concurrently Council of China Mechanical Engineering Society and vice Chairman ofLiaoning Welding Society.
