Dr Yanling Xu obtained his PhD degree in Materials Process Engineering, specialized in robotic welding automation at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2012. He worked as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Western Sydney, and as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Wollongong. In recent years, He has been doing research in the areas of robot welding flexible manufacturing, robot intelligent system applications, robot welding automation and advanced materials forming. He has already published 19 papers, and there are 13 papers has published in international journal, such as Industrial Robot, Journal of Materials Processing Technology, Journal of Intelligent and Robotic systems and International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, et al. One of his papers was awarded An International Award (A Highly Commended Award Winner at the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2013). As an backbone of scientific research, he has finish 13 scientific research projects, including one Australian Research Council, three National Natural Science Funds project, one important research project of Shanghai CST, three research projects of Shanghai Satellite Equipment Research Institute, one Australian collaborative research project and three Horizontal Scientific Research Items, etc. And he has served as a referee for various international journals.
